GUTENBERG TO PLAY ADELAIDE CABARET FESTIVAL!  NEW BUD & DOUG!

Gutenberg has been asked to perform for 3 shows at The Adelaide Cabaret Festival in June this year.  And.....we have a new Bud & Doug! 

The role of Bud will be played by David Somerville, while the role of Doug will be played by Simon van der Stap.

The performance times are:

Gutenberg received huge critical and audience acclaim for its Australasian Premiere at The Seymour Centre.  Reviews can be found on the media page of the website.  Following the Sydney season, the show was asked to perform 4 shows at Chapel Off Chapel in Melbourne.  The cast was again James Millar and David Harris. Tickets are now on sale for the Premiere Season of Gutenberg! The Musical! at The Seymour Centre in Sydney. There are 6 performances only – from the 17th till the 21st of February, 2009.

We are thrilled to announce that we have finalised the cast for our Premiere Season of Gutenberg. The role of Bud Davenport will be played by David Harris, who has most recently been seen as Chris in Miss Saigon, as well as appearing in Little Women. The role of Doug Simon will be performed by James Millar, who has been seen recently in Company and won a 2006 Green Room Sward for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Jud Fry in Oklahoma at the Production Company. James is also the writer of The Hatpin and LoveBites – both of which received their premiere productions in 2008. The boys will be joined by Musical Director Bev Kennedy who will appear onstage…..as Charles!
